Outstanding  1/6th plate ambrotype (nearly full view) of Confederate Infantryman armed with Model 1816 Musket With Bayonet and a huge D-Guard Fighting Knife.  I believe his jacket is of the early Richmond Depot type. The image is crystal clear with great tones and definitely one of the best to surface in a long time. The full leather case needs the spine repaired....SOLD

This is a one sixth plate ruby ambrotype of a Confederate Major. He's housed in a full thermoplastic case that's in OK condition but has some bumps and bruises. The image is very clear...the dust specks are from my scanner and are not on the photograph.....a really nice early ambrotype......$1,350.00

This is an incredibly clear one ninth plate ruby ambrotype of a  dashing  young  Confederate Colonel. I don't believe that a better image could be taken today. The tiny specks are from the scanner glass. The image is crystal clear and without faults....$1,250.00

Super clear 1/6th tintype of a young man....seated and holding what appears to be a kepi....the image was part of a collection that I recently purchased and was described to me as a  Louisiana Rebel...... The seller is credible and I believe him however, I'm selling the image as an image......$325.00

Edwin Booth Signed Photograph - Renowned American Shakespearean Actor and brother of Lincoln Assassin John Wilkes Booth. The cabinet photo is trimmed to 4 X 5.5 and signed in ink "Edwin Booth, 1887"....Rare signed image of this Historical figure........$375.00

This is a sixth plate ruby ambro of a Yank posed in full uniform including his kepi. The image is just a tad dark but is clear and crisp and in great condition.....a nice image that's bargain priced at $150.00

Very Scarce CDV photograph of Kady Brownell and Husband, Robert Brownell. An internet search of Kady Brownell reveals an extensive amount of interesting and historical information on this Famous Female Soldier who served with the 1st Rhode Island.

She was wounded in the upper thigh at First Bull Run....and is the only Female to have received a discharge during the American Civil War. General Burnside signed her discharge and she proudly displayed it along with the colors she carried at Newbern and her sword with her name cut into the scabbard.....Rare image of a historical figure from the Civil War........$1,750.00

Wet Plate Albumen Photograph of Henry Watterson......Watterson was a Confederate Soldier and served as an Aide-de-Camp to General Nathan Bedford Forrest and was on the staff of General Leonidas Polk. In 1864, he was the Chief of Scouts in General Joseph E. Johnston's Army. Post War Watterson served in the U.S. Congress and later wrote for the Courier-Journal of Louisville, Kentucky along with newspapers in Knoxville and Nashville, Tennessee. He won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing in 1918......$875.00

This is a superb sixth plate tintype of James Bray who according to the family identification rode with Bloody Bill Anderson. The period note that accompanies the image reads, "This was Cousin James Bray - rode with Bill Anderson...killed Missouri - 1863" We believe the story and this could be a real sleeper....great research project....SOLD

This is a nice old image of General Lee in uniform and has his pri nted signature below  his portrait....I don't know how old it is but I would guess early 20th century....$35.00

This is a wonderful and very scarce old wet plate albumen CDV  photograph of Jefferson Davis.  The image is in very good condition with some foxing as seen and mounting residue on back that does not affect the image.  It is signed by Varina Davis for her husband. The photographer mark is Washburn - New Orleans and very desirable......REDUCED $695.00

This is a FINE one-ninth plate RUBY ambrotype of a seated Union Infantryman in regulation uniform with his Model 1858 canteen and the attached over-the-shoulder sling across his chest.

The image is crystal clear and in a beautiful thermoplastic case which is "Constitution and the Laws" - Berg 1-131.....It's extremely rare to see Union or Confederate soldiers pictured with their canteen and sling.

One photo was taken out of the case and next to a light to show the high quality Bohemian Ruby Glass.   Here's a fine image and case for the sophisticated image collector....REDUCED...$650.00

Killer CDV image of an identified Confederate Officer in full uniform....He's wearing a two piece sword belt plate and has his Staff Officer's Sword on his side. His Officer's Kepi and his Frock Coat have all the Gold Braid they can hold and attached  to the kepi is an early havelock.....The image is by New Orleans' Photographer S. Anderson and the Officer is IDENTIFIED as William Smith. This would be a great research project....we did a cursory check and found more than one High Ranking Officer named William Smith.......$775.00

This a super full view wet plate CDV photograph of John Wilkes Booth taken from life by The New Orleans Photographic Co. - 27 Camp St.  The scarce image is in excellent condition with no damage to describe...SOLD

This incredible wet plate, albumen photograph was displayed and featured for many years at The Lotz House Civil War Museum in Franklin, Tennessee.

Mathew Brady was at Petersburg when the Surrender at Appomattox was underway and there was no photographic record of the Huge Event.  A sketch artist recorded for history all that were present on Both Sides.  From the sketch a painting was done and the painting was photographed by Sarony - New York.  This is THAT PHOTOGRAPH.

The image of a Worn and Tattered General Lee is haunting!  Everyone is identified in period writing and the details are incredible.  The photograph measures 12" X 17" and is mounted to a 18" X 21"  period Sarony printed card stock.  The museum piece comes in a period oak frame.  There is probably not another one like it............... $2,500.00

This incredible 1/4 plate Ambrotype is of Capt. John W. Ward dressed in full Mississippi Militia Uniform. Following his Militia Service Capt. Ward served in the 12th Mississippi Infantry known as "The Sardis Blues". He is in full regalia and has about everything one can wear or hang on him. The photograph is in immaculate condition and comes in a full leather case.....formerly in the Herb Peck Collection and published on page 12 of Confederate Faces by Albaugh.....This Killer Image is about as good as it gets and will enhance the most sophisticated Image Collections....PENDING
